Im planning out a brake flush in the next few days on my nissan versa. From what Ive read, the clutch and brake share a fluid reservoir. Ive never had this before, so im a bit unsure about doing a brake fluid flush. When I flush the brakes using a 2 man method, does that automatically flush my clutch as well?

A very small amount of unflushed fluid will remain in the clutch master and lines. This will eventually mix with the fresh fluid in the reservoir as you use the clutch pedal. Don't worry about it.

It's usually pretty easy just to include the slave when bleeding. But I use a pressure bleeder so I just make my way around the car and open valves to flush.

Wow. I recall old GMC/Chevrolet trucks from 1960 having a MC's designed like this. Some forms of technology never die.....maybe because it works?

Seems to be more common on some makes. Our Mazda3 has a shared reservoir and I think other Fords and Ford-based cars do as well (the 3 is related to its contemporary euro-Focus). All of my daily drivers have had separate clutch reservoirs though.

My Cobalt has a shared MC. There's a bleeder specifically for the clutch. I didn't bother with it when I last bled my brakes, though, because the clutch bleeder was very difficult to get to.

Just bleed either system normally, and there will be no problems.
But why not just bleed both - you'll have the tools and materials out anyways. What's a few more minutes?
