On a 02 Dodge Intrepid 3.5 V6 Im having starting issues. I don't know how old the battery is or if the starter has been replaced. Sometimes when I go to crank it, it will just click when I turn the key, but will eventually crank, or will just fire up right away at first key on.
I figured it was the battery since I had the same problem with my Saturn and it turned out to be the battery. But with the Saturn the AAP tester showed needing a new battery while AZ said everything was ok. Now, on the Intrepid the AAP tester said everything was ok. The guy testing suggested getting a new starter, said it was in the solenoid. IS there any way to check this, w/o throwing parts at it (gets old REAL quick).
I almost got the new battery and had the old core with me, but only had $90 on me. He tested it after the fact. Didn't know batteries were so high as last year it costed me $60.
