I'm semi-retired from bitog. All the anti-chrysler rants + the arguments over personalities that are not relevant to the op. I tried to reason with some via pm, but it was a waste of time. Now I just put them on ignore.

I hear you Oldmoparguy, my first car was Dodge Dart with the Slant 6. Chrysler will always have a place in my heart.
Toyota guy now though.

To get even farther OT, my sisters shared a Volare as a college car.
My father had taken this pristine four door 70ish K car in trade for a little bit of nothing, since nobody wanted them, especially with the supposedly thirsty 318 that this car had.
While it was a lackluster car in every way, it was also dead reliable and the only maintenance it ever got were the oil changes I gave it when sisters and I happened to be visiting the 'rents back home at the same time. I recall changing the coolant once and I may have put plugs in it, but that would have been it. I don't recall ever touching the brakes, although I might have.
The Aspen/Volare were the new Dart/Valiant and they continued the Chrysler tradition of being solid and well built if uninspired cars.
