Best to get the MAF cleaner rubbing alcohol on a qtip would work accessing the diodes. Best to get the cleaner or from a neighbor.

I bring mine to the local car wash and pressure spray it. 
Any throttle body spray will work.

I have started new threads and have received this reply;

And, when I have resurrected an old thread, I get what you asked.
You're darned if you do, and darned if you don't.
If we're taking a poll, I'm for resurrecting old threads as it is efficient.
Even more effective would be to edit threads to concentrate their content, say, a week after they ramp down.
Take your own personal guess as to how many people don't know about "PCV vapors" condensing on throttle bodies and MAF sensors.
Also, with all this talk of alcohol rubbing etc., nobody mentioned the frail wire in many (all?) MAFs.
