Cleaned my headlights today using toothpaste and a toothbrush. Just wanted to share the before and after pics.

what you should do to get them even better, is use a Mothers Foam Ball attached to your Cordless drill. Put on the toothpaste and go at it. Just mask off around the headlight to make for easy clean up. Then apply a good car wax monthly and they wont fade again.

I just tried a new to me product on headlight's plastic and it works great...

Sumner Labs plus 210 Plastic Scratch Remover and 201 Plastic cleanser and polish

For an almost non existent problem that worked well. For more serious damage more serious products are required along with the techniques to apply them. Your results are good.....Crest?

You need to add an UV protectant after doing this, or your lenses will haze up again even faster and within 1 year, since the factory UV protection has now been removed. Carwax may only be a partial solution, and is a pain to do so frequently. This is the dirty secret of headlight polishing.

I do think the permanant way to resolve this is to get Paint protection film (3m/xpel/etc). This may cost you up to $100 from a clearbra installer.
