“Clean your MAF!” - everyone

I recently cleaned the MAF sensor and Throttle Body on my 2009 Pontiac G8 GT using CRC's 2 can pack of Throttle Body and Mass Air Flow Sensor cleaner and immediately noticed much smoother acceleration, especially at lower speeds. The low speed low RPM "surging"/hesitation issue I was having where the RPM would bounce up and down as I would accelerate from a stop went away after cleaning them. I do have an oiled Rotofab filter on my car and I wonder if that may have "coated" the MAF sensor and caused the issue. The issue came up after the oiled filter was installed on the car since the performance shop recommended an aftermarket intake after they did the GM DOD delete on my engine.
