75w-90 is what, about like an SAE40 in kinematic viscosity? Definitely doesn't have the cranking and pumping ability of a 40 weight motor oil. Hey, I bet that gear oil is LOADED with zinc and phosphorous though! Bet his cams were well lubricated.

Sad is when your dog dies. This here is hilarious. What a total schmuck. Well, I guess it is sad to see a perfectly good WRX motor scrape itself to death. But I feel no remorse for someone this stupid.

KanoWRX reminds me of the kid with the SRT-4 Neon that could not remove the drain plug, so he decided to remove the oil filter and turn on the motor in to pump out all the oil.

agree with drew ... feeling no remorse for someone that stupid. the oil cap says 5w-30.in one of the kid's replies, he states "... i was misledded...". the only thing more stupid than the act, was that he posted it on a website, telling thousands of people of his stupidity. hopefully, he cannot reproduce, as his spawn is destined to be taken care of by the state. thankyou, pablo, for the great laugh. it made my day. darwin was right.

I do feel bad for him. Don't get me wrong I think it was completely stupid. But I am just going by the assumption that his mom and dad did buy this car, then why did the dad not teach him a little about the car? Please don't get me wrong, I do believe the young moron is to take the blame but the dad should not have handed this idiot the keys without teaching him some basic things. IE to put motor oil in the motor and gear oil in the tranny or rear end!!
He forgot to add that he put washer fluid in his tranny, antifreeze in his gas tank and blinker fluid in his muffler.
Seriously, I feel bad for him. Most of the guys there are not much better... 75W90 is not as vastly different in viscosity from 5W30 as the numbers sound. But, expensive lesson learned.

I'm stopped at page 3, and sensing serious troll.
Was on a board (metal) a few years ago that had a really really good troll, who lasted for around three years.
Besides 75W-90 is only around 15W-50 in engine terms. Adds are all out of whack...at least the camshafts will be saved.
