i picked up 25 quarts of citgo syn blend 5w30 for a dollar a quart from a friend who bought it from a store going out of bussiness. it is rated sm not sn both of my cars have been using 5/20 any harm in using this oil?
If it is a genuine SM rated oil, it will be fine for the cars in your sig unless they call for an SN oil. If you have a newer car that needs an SN oil (check your operators manual), for warranty purposes, it probably shouldn't be used.
Using it will be like crossing the streams, the next thing you know cats and dogs will be living together. Best not to use it and send it to me, I will use it in 2010 engines.

Yes. I mean No..no harm. If you are worried mix 50-50 with 5w20 and get 5w25.
