For the past couple of days there has been a Cirrus made plane in Queen Victoria Park in Niagara Falls Ontario, on display. It is part of the big exotic car weekend (a lot of those guys might want a new plane!) đŸ˜†

Those are amazingly spacious inside...more so than you would think. It makes a big difference sitting in a fuselage that wasn't designed over 50 years ago.

The Cirrus jet performance is pretty good, I believe. They wanted to keep it single engine for cost and efficiency.

Yeah, all their airplanes look like tadpoles - because they can! Composite construction allows for great flexibility in shape and they choose to shape it for minimum drag. So, uh, tadpole it is.

It’s out of my price range, though I have flown an SR-22 and it is a genuinely enjoyable airplane with both high cruise speed and good efficiency. It handles well. Lots of possibilities with an airplane like that - and the perfect profile is about a 7-800 mile trip. It goes about three times as fast as a car, and gets there in half the time of the airlines.

E.G. Norfolk International Airport, VA to Morrisville Airport, VT - in under three hours. That’s a 12-14 hour drive. It’s at least 6 hours on any airline, not including getting through security.
