I just purchased a toshiba chromebook primarily to access the internet. I have read that you do not need any virus/spyware protection for these. Would it be safe to access my online banking and view my mutual funds or should I use my laptop which has Norton. I am not to computer literate so please keep it simple for us dummies!!!!I will access both from home wifi

Right, you don't need an antivirus because it's not windows, and yes, you are very safe to access your online banking on that. Safer than on your windows computer.

You don't need an antivirus - yet, but you still need to be careful, as you do with any device. You can get "phished"

Also, make sure your connection is encrypted.
