The human centipede of exhaust manifolds. The three cylinder engine is going to become common. GM is running them on the Trax and the Envision. Not sure what’s up with that exhaust configuration.

It's an AI product (the image, see the text on the left). There's a pulley that looks like it's wearing a belt, but no actual belt running off it, as well as a pile of other ridiculous technical issues. The three cylinder engine is going to become common. A close look at the image reveals this. Not a real model of any engine, IOW.It's an AI product (the image, see the text on the left). There's a pulley that looks like it's wearing a belt, but no actual belt running off it, as well as a pile of other ridiculous technical issues.
Yes, looks like AI won't be replacing engine designers any time soon, lol.A close look at the image reveals this. Not a real model of any engine, IOW.
Yes and no. The USA has more vehicles than any other country in the world.BYD is not coming to the USA anytime soon. The 100% tariffs turned them off to the idea as well as other "confusing" aspects of the USA market.
It will focus on Mexico and South America/Brazil - Smart move, the US population, as big as we think we are is TINY at 350 million compared to the world population of 8 billion.
My feeling is, it just increases costs for the US consumer. Here we pay up to $11,500 in our tax money per US produced vehicle as it is. All to help people buy overpriced EVs.
It's also about the automakers being able to produce a profit making these things by pricing them higher and the taxpayer subsidizing at the rate as high as $11,500
Think about that, a 25k electric car pays out as much as $11,500 from the taxpayer. $7,500 when bought new and another $4000 when someone buys the same vehicle now used from the original purchaser. I mean with this money being thrown around how can anyone call EVs a success? Even with this all this tax money being thrown around, sales have fallen off a cliff compared to expectatiob
China is right up there with us though I question some numbers.Yes and no. The USA has more vehicles than any other country in the world.
Here is a sampling. Also, Mexico has only 49 million vehicles.

Yes, China just recently equaled and slightly surpassed the USA but they only have 231 cars per 1000 people where as the USA has 900 vehicles per 1000 people. I printed a screen shot with the most cars per 1000 people which is a reflection on how much money is available for people to purchase cars. Here is the screen shot with China in it.China is right up there with us though I question some numbers.
Not that I disagree, but we are a large land mass. If you add up the other countries of the world as a population in line with land mass the numbers mean far less. What I am trying to say is many countries on this list that you posted are the size or even smaller than some US STATES. But if you take the whole land area of those smaller countries and put them together big difference.
Many of the countries on the list you supplied have more cars per 1000 people than the USA which does surprise me because we have such a large land mass.
What confuses me is why isn't China on the list? They have according to one source more cars than we do.

Makes sense now, chart is per 1000 population not total for country.Yes, China just recently equaled and slightly surpassed the USA but they only have 231 cars per 1000 people where as the USA has 900 vehicles per 1000 people. LOL. Wasted. Surely you jest.Following the lead of the US, CANADA has just imposed a 100% tariff in Chinese made electric cars. Apparently Tesla was importing cars from the Shanghai plant. The Canadian government has been subsidizing companies setting up EV manufacturing facilities for Ev batteries, and didn’t want to see that wasted.

It was 100% acceptable to Export blue-collar jobs to China, so long as Western elites continue to get there profits . They told us it was “” globalization”. and our laborers just weren’t competitive.
Except when the CCP wants to offer the plebs an inexpensive car, all of a sudden it’s no longer acceptable.
While I would personally be happy to see the CCP fall off the face of the earth, if you can’t see the hypocrisy in this then your simply choosing not to look.
Anyone who doesn't understand this should check out Jack Welch.LOL. Wasted. Surely you jest.

This is funny because not only does it make the Canadian consumer poorer but it also subjects them to retaliatory tariffs on Canadian goods. Then a Canadian company to avoid those retaliatory tariffs moves production to another country after which it's blasted as being unpatriotic.Following the lead of the US, CANADA has just imposed a 100% tariff in Chinese made electric cars. The one item you didn't mention was protective tariffs.Anyone who doesn't understand this should check out Jack Welch.
Welch was laser focused on maximizing shareholder value by any means necessary - including layoffs, outsourcing, offshoring, acquisitions, and buybacks - became the new playbook in American business.
My father bought a road legal rebadged Chinese EV, things have changed a lot since then but the plastic was quick to rot, seats quick to fad and crack, paint thin, front motor mount broke at 23,000 miles, front suspension and other components were only painted on 1 side and started to rust rapidly. Radio wiring was intermittent and coorded. The car stopped starting at 25,000 miles and we had to tear apart the steering column wiring after which the battery gage that was integrated into the dash overlay itself stopped readingDoes anyone have any experience with electric vehicles manufactured by the Chinese? Geely, BYD, Changan etc? If so, what would you pinpoint as the main point of difference? In comparison to standard offerings in the West.
And will be moving more of that to India …They dont ... and ... Apple has been slowly off shoring production of products from China. iPads, MacBooks, AirPods to Vietnam which is where my Apple Watch 9 is also produced.
Also, Vietnam is quickly becoming the new tech center, and where Apple produces their Apple WatchAnd will be moving more of that to India …
