So my daughter did something that hurt her arm a little bit (dunno what/how).

She looks at me, with all seriousness and says "daddy, it hurts when I do this."

I said "Don't do that."

She said "oh", then walked away...and no longer did that.

I had to laugh--her problem was solved and she followed the oldest joke in the book. It was a good moment for everyone.

MY FIL had one recurring rhetorical statement. It didn't make much sense until you experienced it in real time.

Little kids, little problems.
Big kids, bigger problems.

I had wished he was wrong.

TNS - yes, children are fun ...but grandchildren are even better

My youngest (9) has a broken right arm. She never complained too much about the pain nor does she gripe about her cast.

Dad has a bad neck. She says wants the "old" daddy back. I'm pretty much at loss for words. If she only knew.

All road kill? Is your meat processing industry not up to international levels ? Or driver proficiency that bad? Might be a great place to open a body shop!

The crocs' close cousins the alligators do get on more lightly traveled roads in the US. Some probably get hit. During the times I toured the NASA facilities at Cape Canaveral years ago the guides mentioned that alligators frequently blocked access roads on the facility, which is by Cape Canaveral National Seashore and other protected areas. (Much of the NASA property at Spaceport USA remains in a natural state.)
