CHF 7.1 vs. Synthetic ATF

My 92 VW jetta P/S asks for G 002 000 (CHF 7.1) P/S fluid. However ATF fluid can be used as well. VW recommends G 002 for colder climates.

IS CHF 7.1 Synthetic? Is there any benefits over a good quality Synthetic ATF fluid?

Does any one have any specs of G 002 Fluid?
