I'm thinking of getting a Colorado crew cab pick up truck. Does anyone own one of these yet and can tell me how they like it? How are they? I test drove one and it seemed like a really nice truck! Thank you!

Just do a search on the 'net...many, many reviews all over the place.

Also go here: http://www.coloradofans.com/

Only real issue I heard of was that they were suffering from overheating...haven't kept up with these trucks though so I don't know if the issue has been resolved.

BTW, how can they call that thing a "pickup"? That bed is so incredibly small! Looks like an SUV with outdoors storage space for a little bit of dirty stuff you don't want in the cab...reminds me of the Ford Explorer Sport Trac.

I think the new I-4 and I-5 engines are really neat. Given my GM experience, I'll wait a couple of years though to see how they are working out. I'm waiting for others to be the guinea pigs.

To me, they look great. Their a little bigger then the S10, but haven't gone quasi-full size like some others. I4 and I5 engine are based on the I6 they've had in the Trailblazer and similar for a few years now. They seem to be good engines and good trucks.

I think the Toyota Tacoma (2005) is going to be a better truck. 240 hp 270lbs trq 4.0L V6 with a TRD Off road package. These mid size trucks can get pricey so be careful. To answer your question directly, I think it's a very nice truck.

I was really impressed with the legroom in the regular cab Colorado. I wouldn't mind having one myself, but when I need to haul stuff I usually need the fullsize 8' bed so I think I'll just keep my Dodge.

The only GM vehicle with a Chinese manufactured engine is the equinox, the engine was designed and parts are still made in the US.

These trucks us the Atlas engine line. Aluminum block and heads, DOHC, variable valve timining, and balance shafts.
