Chevy Bolt fire risk

I'll believe it when I see it.

When your brand is new and expensive, you automatically eliminated the biggest fire risk: idiot and reckless owners.

Mee too...what I was trying to say was in waiting for the unicorn battery tech Toyota fell waaay behind the curve.

Maybe not eliminate, but certainly reduce as the MSRP rises...lots of fools sitting in the back seat "driving" , flying into trees at 100MPH....

Only if the charging profiles were within LG's parameters.

IF they drifted out by so much as a microvolt then the GM takes the hit.

unlike holistic performance from an engine and trans - there is not "one throat to choke" in these BEV's if in need of answers and accountability.

is it though?

ZF and Aisin run into this w/OEM's and transmission programming issues all of the time. I can tell you that when problems arise in the production world, step one is "point at the other guy"!

Well in this case it was a clear manufacturing defect at the LG battery factory.

I wasn't going to post this one, but it seems people say what they wanna say about all kinds of things, so I can too. The reason is this one really gives me pause, if I was in the market for a car. Tesla owners parking their Teslas in their garage. Nice home, nice area, look what could have happened, even worse than this. Random picking of an article about it.

I half expect a Chevy Bolt fire sale. The Bolt is hot right now.
