Okay, where in the world can we buy it at, for any price ? When I search the Chevron Websites, I get Havoline results, is this the same oil ? Inquiring minds want to know. Looking for a good 10k oil for F150 4.6l. Was gonna use Pennzoil Platinum or Pennzoil Ultra, but I've got an open mind. I would like to try it.

I really think chevron has some big military deals to supply them with lubs and fuel. We use some grease at work that comes in a white tube. There is a chevron logo on it with black writing "military special purpose grease". I can tell you, that is some great stuff. We use it in high temp applications in bearings. The operating temps of the bearings drop by as much as 25 degrees! They are all high speed lik 35,000 rpm. The only place we get it is from chevron. I bet they have so much business with the military they dont have the extra to supply the general public. Just my thoughts.

It's my understanding that the 5W-40's are HDEO oils and not same as the 0W-40 PCMO.

IMO Chevron is top notch.

The specific ones that I had in mind are all PCMO:
Pennzoil Ultra Euro 5w-40
Chevron Supreme 5w-40
Valvoline Synpower 5w-40 HST

I have spoken with the chevron rep for my area. It is my sad duty to inform you that chevron has discontuned their supreme line effective january 1st of 2012. He told me he would sell me what he had left...only a few cases. Im going to pick these up tomorrow. He said chevron was going to market there supreme line under the havoline brand, and it should be avaliable locally by mid summer. News to me!

The last of the chevron supreme synthetic was $30 per case. I got the last of the 5w-20, and 3 cases of 5w30. With the quart bottles costing about $5 each i bet the 5 qt jugs are much cheaper than that. Im gonna check into that next time I buy oil, and it will be havoline, since its the new chevron supreme synthetic!
