Was snooping on the Chevron Lubricants website and found two rebates if anyone was interested.

Nice! Now if Chevron can get some 5 qt jugs of Havoline stocked somewhere accessible and at a competitive price I’d be all over it. Not interested in the whole bag in box situation.
If you like Techron, you can opt to get this deal through Amazon. Two 12 oz. bottles would be $12.76 after the $8 rebate which is a pretty good price for it.
Then again, if you have Tractor Supply nearby their $11.99 deal for conventional oil and $14.99 for a full synthetic is pretty unbeatable right now. They also allow for a $50 reward if you apply for their credit card. But that reward doesn't apply to the purchase. Only what you may buy at a future visit.
Mobil's $19.98 deal at Walmart is also pretty solid and like Tractor Supply, it doesn't require a rebate.
Finally, if you want a high quality oil Pennzoil Ultra Platinum is effectively under $15 if you buy two of those at Walmart and opt for the $30 rebate. I pulled the trigger on that one.
That seems to be the gist of great oil deals right now.

That's terrible.
On Walmart's website right now, Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5W-30 is only $26.50 - $15 Pennzoil rebate for Pennzoil Ultra Platinum ($15 rebate for Pennzoil Ultra Platinum, $10 for other Pennzoil Platinum models), so $26.50-15 rebate per jug (limit 2 jugs) = $11.50 for a 5 quart jug of Pennzoil Ultra Platinum.
But rebate only applies if you buy in store (not online).
This is a great way to buy oil if you have an existing stash of oil bought on clearance already.
Then whenever a clearance or generous rebate comes along during the year, you just add to
the stash with deals like this: $11.50 for 5 quarts of Pennzoil Ultra Platinum.
When there are no clearance sales or rebates, you are protected from high prices, as you can use existing stash
that was previously bought on clearance sales.
This way you never pay more than $11.50 for a 5 quart jug of full synthetic oil for the rest of your life
as your stash and any new oil added to it is oil bought 100% of the time on clearance sales or generous rebates.
