This was my "winter" oil. I step down from a 20/50 in summer to a 15/40 in the winter.
Due to the rainy weather and work demands I have been out on the bike more in the winter then this spring/early summer and why the low mileage on the oil. However I wanted my trusty Valvoline 20/50 Conventional 4 stroke motorcycle oil in for the summer so changed the Delo 15/40 out, even at this low mileage. Plus I dont see any reason to leave oil in a bike for more then 6 months without changing it.
Im posting this for those curious as to the make up of the Delo 15/40 conventional oil rather then a test of the used oil, after all, it only has 1100 miles on it. Not enough mileage to draw a conclusion, keep in mind a lot of it was cold weather riding that can be more stressful to an engine during warmup then warm weather.
Over all its looks like an ok oil to me but this winter I may do a mix of 10/40 and 20/50 Valvoline achieving the weight I want.
The Delo 15/40 is the test done on 6/30/13 and the Valvoline 20/50 is the test done on 7/26/12 which is also posted in these forums a page or so back.
