For about 5$, you can go to harbor freight (or online) and get a cheap suction gun.

I have one, and it leaks out the back and makes a mess, but I deal with it, because it allows me to quickly and easily drain fluids from reservoirs at work before I remove them to keep the mess under control. I also use it to do quick fluid change on some transfer cases and differentials. Just remember to clean it out before switching fluids around.
Go to Home Depot or Lowes and get a slightly longer hose for a dollar or two, and with a little bit of time, you can probably remove quite a bit of fluid from the trans.
