Cheap good 4k Blu Ray Player

Recommendations on a good cheap one to buy? Tons of them out there, prefer for them not to be smart ones with an OD that will be obsolete in a year.

The kicker is 4K, I believe 4K Blu-Ray has only just popped up on the PS5.

I'd go with a Samsung. The customer service has been top notch. In fact a couple of years ago being well out of warranty it bricked. A number of Samsung blu-ray players boot looped from the firmware. They sent a paid box and repaired it for free. Not many manufacturers will fix out of warranty devices.

Ah. I didnt know blue ray came in different resolutions. Yeah ps3 definitely can’t support 4k

I am using a $29 BluRay Sony I bought in 2003 still works great! Just very slow computer in it and it was smart with Netflix and Amazon at one time but they long have removed their apps.

If you want one that will last get a Sony or Panasonic.

I ended up getting the Sony BDP-S6700 and it does not come with an HDMI cable. I do not have an extra (which is my fault). But nonetheless I am going to return it and research more and find one that is comparable that does include a cable. I think it is unacceptable that we consumers do not take actions against greedy companies.

Why sony would sell you a product with no means to use the product completely baffles me.
