I put Chinese tires on my Jag one time as I was selling the car for $1000 (as that's all the car was worth then). They drove fairly well initially, but they did not hold up long. Big blisters under the tread. I think they lasted about 9 or 10K miles before they failed catastrophically. It was a false economy, as the price per mile was poor.

The problem with blitzkreig is that you haven't really secured the area behind you. The defense is going to concentrate on attempts to resupply this convoy from the rear. Especially fuel trucks. Everything else is useless without fuel. If you drew the short stick to drive the fuel truck you're going to get hit.

Unfortunately - yes, from a consumer's stand point. But at the same time I'm glad that Chinese tires slow the war down. Now we need Chinese military powertrain/drivetrain and Chinese ammunition, just so war can completely seize and stop due to equipment malfunctions.

It's bogus news, and political / war-related topics don't belong on this forum. The disinformation floating "out there" on the Internet is bad enough. Suddently everyone is an armchair military expert. Russia is an oil and gas-rich country, and they are perfectly capable of manufacturing their tires. Not everyone outsourced every manufacturing job and operation as we did—something to mull over.
