in my managers 96 Tacoma 4x4. A co-worker parked it in down town San Francisco when he made a wrong turn and didn't set the gear. The truck ran down hill until it hit an un marked FBI car! Later he burned out the clutch driving around the hills. He didn't mention beforehand he didn't know how to use a stick shift!
had AAA tow the truck back to Fremont. Engine starts but even with the clutch pedal up the truck won't move.
There are globs of fiber material all over the transmission and even on top of the engine!
So, I spent 4 hours removing the Transmission. The clutch looks like a bare piece of metal about the thickness of 4 sheets of foil! material all inside the area and even a good amount on the starter gear.
Anyhow, I'll be installing a new flywheel and kit when I return to work Tuesday.
As for my co-worker and my manager......only time will tell, LOL!
