Help me understand this; I’m not trying to reinvent the wheel I just need to understand how this works before I am comfortable installing a MG filter.
What is the element bypass orifice, and how does it work? How does the lube filter work as oppose to the ATF filter?
I own a MG-30 air filter so I am not quite sure how that differs from lube filter.
I think on the lube filter you restrict the flow to the filter somehow and oil flows through one end of the TP to the other then through the center of the roll and out?
On an ATF there must be some groove from the in-port to the out-port to allow ATF oil to flow through the MG without going through the TP?
I would also then assume the fuel filter works much like a lube filter without the restrictor?
I would like to install an ATF filter in parallel with the oil cooler the Trans cooler and also a fuel filter. I am planning on getting the conversion kit for the MG-30 as well as a fuel filter form Ralph Woods, my father in-law says he has original MG-30 I can have for the oil.
