Champion also makes; Car and Driver, Deutch.

Funny, today I just started making a list of various mfg's and what filters they make. It would be good to have a sticky that cross referenced mfg's and brands.

Put "Lee" Filters on that list also.
Champ makes a good filter.
They don't cut corners.
We use to order $60k at a crack.
Was a "TBA" direct operation.
Champ never let us down.

W.T.,

How have you determined that Champ makes a good filter? They are great with supplying product, we too never had a problem when using them. The quality of their lower cost lines leaves much to be desired and there are better filters out there for the money. Trust me, I know. We are nearing the 500 filter mark since the beginning of our used oil filter study. So far Champ is fairing far worse than any other manufacturer due to severely damaged media after manufacturer recommended drain intervals.

Of course, the specifications are different amongst each filter.

Better get a long list. When I worked there they had about 200+ brands they private labelled for. Generally about 50 or so do the most business with them but I saw Ferrari and Jag branded filters go down the line..

What percentage of your Champ filters got cut open and inspected after they were used?

I think most AC Delcos are Champion. That's what I'll keep using until the rumors about ACs going Ecore-style become fact.... then I'll switch to Purolator & Wix.

parts plus sales the champ brand here in san diego. I get them in bulk for 2 bucks each. not the e-core style. ph3980
