The other day when I was in Autozone, I looked at equivalent Mobil 1, Bosch, STP, and AC filters. You can usually tell a filter that is made by Champion by the base plate, and these four filters had identical base plates--right down to the TT stamped in them in exactly the same place. (The base plate on the SuperTech is the same, too.)

Are AC filters made by Champion? It sure looks like it.

If it quacks like a duck its a duck. I have heard of AC being maid by other sources. But they have also been made by Champion. That is not to say that the paper elements are the same. Also the shell thicknesses may not be the same. For instance Mobil 1 and K&N (Champ) have shell thickness of .019" and Bosch/Supertech are about .014".

Perhaps in the US they are, but I know for sure that Canadian AC Delco filters are made by Dana (who make Wix) in Cambridge, ON.

The Canadian filters all end in a C, so a PF25 is a PF25c. Our filters are white.
