Hi all,
Was doing a rock auto order and threw in some oil filters. I had a couple PH10063 thrown in for Dad's 14 Silverado (they were what rock auto had listed as compatible) , but noticed that they were listed as comparable to PF48/Fram 10060. We've been using PF63/ Fram 10575 on the truck, and that was listed in the cross reference for the PF500 champ filter, so I swapped out what was in the cart.

Is there any reason the PF500 wouldn't be ok to use on the truck? Bypass psi, something else?.. Does the parts selector know something I don't?

I know that the Champ PH10063 was designed for the 22 psi bypass relief that is required on the '14 and later GM trucks, I'm not sure of the relief setting on the PH500. I have several PH10063s in my stash for my Sierra. I think you should have stuck with the PH10063.

I agree in hindsight if there is a bypass psi difference, but does champ not have a PF63 equivalent? Seems weird for them to recommend a smaller filter than most other makes for this application.

Champ rolled out the PH10063 to be equivalent to the AC Delco PF63/PF63e, which is the OEM for the Ecotec3 4.3 and 5.3 liter engines.
