I've had a 100% goat-skin chamois for a long time. Over the years, it has picked up 'crud' and gotten dirty. It still works great and I'd like to try and clean it.

Anyone know how without harming it?

I won't use a leather chamois.

Best synthetic drying cloth I've ever found is called a Water Sprite. NAPA used to carry them, but I don't know if they still do. I get mine off the detail supply truck that comes out to the dealership once in a while. I've had mine for over 5 years now, and it's still as good as the day I bought it.

I used to like the Absorber, but the one time I tried a Water Sprite at a buddy's shop, I was sold and bought my own.
