I like Jim Farley, but yes, EVs need a dependable charging network...

Ford is a great American company; they put America (and the world) on wheels. It's Ford.... Have you driven, er, taken one to a dealership for warranty repair, lately??
CEO Farley has been transparent about Ford's EV business; it would seem that the other companies have something to hide.Say what you will about Farley, he is putting himself out there and making an effort to connect with the public. I can personally only name one other auto CEO and that one's a complete tool.

He inherited a mess.“Fixing quality is my No. 1 priority,” “It is the most important initiative in the whole company. And it’s going to take several years. We didn’t lose it in just one or two years. Until we fix quality, nothing else matters.”

edit: This is a good thing, quality is a problem in almost all aspects of consumer products, at least he came out and admitted it. I hope he achieves his goal.

Yes and it's why I no longer own Ford products. I've had two. Five if you include two Jaguars and a Lincoln. To be fair Jaguar was a great dealer experience though the service was expensive. Lincoln service was on the better side compared to the Ford, but a lot of discontinued parts for a relatively young car with no aftermarket options. Ford other than the buying experience which was normal was a complete disaster for service. I wouldn't recommend their warranty coverage to my worst enemy. It's Ford.... I feel like I've heard this on a 4 year repeat cycle from somewhere...He inherited a mess.

Are your '22 Mavericks your first Ford products? I'm genuinely curious. I hope you've had a long history with them that was better than mine. My F150 was fine for the most part, pretty reliable despite a number of stupid recalls. The Edge we owned was a horrible product Ford refused to stand behind. It wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't intermittent brake failure that was almost impossible to show them until the brakes completely failed permanently and they refused to warranty it...
Me too. I had one recall, a TSB, and a CSP performed. I dropped it off in the a.m., they gave me a loaner and the work was finished the next afternoon. All good.
I’ve had company cargo/work vans for over 25 years, now, only one wasn’t a Ford-they’ve progressively gotten worse, especially dealer service, over that time period. I have ONE Ford dealer I trust enough to work on them-Wetzel Ford, 50 miles away in Richmond, IN-I’ve been to ALL the other ones, including the purged ones of ~15 years ago. Can’t recommend ANY of them…Ford is a great American company; they put America (and the world) on wheels.
Bu to answer your question, no. I rented a Focus (I think) a few years ago and found it easy to drive, a nice car.
Too bad musk didn't say this as well.“Fixing quality is my No. 1 priority,” “It is the most important initiative in the whole company. And it’s going to take several years. We didn’t lose it in just one or two years. Until we fix quality, nothing else matters.”
