I'm going to order pads and rotors for my '07 Tahoe. I've found some Centric economy rotors for the front at Rockauto.

They're priced at $23 a piece (wholesaler closeout). Thats about 50% of what the other rotors are going for. Any reason to stay away from Centric's economy line?

None that I am aware of. I'm of the school that rotors are rotors and so long as you don't play stop and go at high speeds they should last along with a good pair of pads. Napa rotors are good to and run around 20-25 a piece as well.

Centric are no worse than most of the other rotors you'll see.

Watch the shipping costs. Rock Auto has a habit of offering the best price but blowing their own toes off with the shipping. This is particularly true when you order a few things and have 3 or more different shipping points.

Check Amazon as you can get free shipping on orders over $25. Also, Advance Auto can be very competitive with some of the discount codes floating around.

The big thing on shipping, as described, is to get a large quantity shipped from the same point. It isn't too bad in that circumstance. And, yes, try the AAP coupons. I have had good experiences with both sources on rotors, etc.

Rock auto is out. Even with the fronts being 50% off, four rotors were going to run $200 after shipping. I can buy four locally for that.

I'll check out AAP.

I would buy the Centric premium that start with part # 120.xxx. The economy line are white box blanks that are probably similar to quality of other white box rotors including the made in china stuff.

As another member mentioned, check Amazon.

I ended up getting rotors for my Hyundai from Amazon, because of the free shipping. No one else even came close on price for a name-brand rotor.

Also, the Centric rotors are made in China, as are pretty much all your options. I emailed Centric and they claimed the rotors were cast in China, but machined in the US.
