Can anyone attest to the quality/lack of quality of CenPeCo products? We have used them on-farm for years with no problems and it seems to be all right. Last case I got was CI-4. I just would like to see a VOA or UOA and some general feelings about it since I am using it and would like to see how it stacks up against the more prevalent brands. I have a UOA from my 04 Cummins to send it whenever my darn kit comes in. This will be on the HD 15w40 engine oil, CI-4 with ~5000 miles on it, mostly towing and "severe" service. They always promote it as premium and more refined, etc. I suppose it is kind of boutiquey but it is pretty popular on farm. My 99 PSD ran great on it too, so it must not foam.

Thanks!

My first concern would be that they are not an API EOLCS licensee.

And I am sure that because a product is API licensed that it gurantees a superior product. Hogwash! It only requires minimum standards be met.

I disagree. The EOLCS system mandates statistical testing for licensing and then does field testing to guarantee compliance. Any non-API licensed oil is free to claim whatever they wish with no rules or parameters to abide by. It is your position that is hogwash.

A farmer friend of mine has used their oil for over 30 years. He gets good results with it. For example, he drove a Nissan Sentra over 265,00 miles changing every 10,000 miles. The engine was still running good but the frame rusted out.

Yeah, it's big with the pullin' crowd around here, but that deals more with product placement and sponsorship than anything else

Never ran it myself, so I won't comment on its actual quality.

If I were in your shoes though, it'd be hard for me to justify trying it out when I can get CI-4+ Delo, Delvac, Long-Life and Rotella for so little at Wally-World...

Cen-pe-co. You can trust what they print.
Good co. %100 refined paraffin. Still fairly strong with the farms in the midwest.

Strjock81, Cenpeco makes a top rate product. I would ignore 68Redlines73 as his only responce to any question seems to be what he has posted. I worked at a Heavy Eqipment service center that also did implements. Repair, Salvage and new parts sales. They used Cenpeco exclusivly! They did stock a few other oils for customers to purchase but they never recomended anything else. The owner had a litle Mitsubishi 2wd truck with 300,000 miles on it as his daily driver. It burnt some oil but was as clean as could be inside. It only saw Cenpeco.

Cenpeco has been makeing oil longer then the API has been around! You can trust them to put out a top notch product!

I posted a UOA over in the UOA forum from my 2004 Cummins. Oil looks to have a tremendous anti-wear package in it, from what I can tell. Calcium was high as can be. I should have ran that oil longer than I did!

Also, I am pretty sure the CenPeCo stuff is licensed by the API, it has API written all over it.
