Cement company ad in poor taste?

I recently read an interesting take on this sort of thing (paraphrasing): do you think the 911 terrorists/group is happy that that one action is still looked on with horror, respect, reverence, carefully "protected and nurtured" among the American public? Are you not simply maximizing the effect of their terror by treating it so carefully and respectfully?

Similar to a bully, you hurt him most by putting him in his place and then quickly moving on without a further thought. The last thing you do is keep reminding him how much he hurt you.

Easier said than done with something like this if you have no family or friends directly impacted by 911.

Personally I think they should have picked a different approach for the ad, but neither would I create an issue out of it either.

Same guys that call you from Microsoft technical support saying you have a virus and have to pay $200 to remove it, what's your credit card and ss number.
What's your point? Those "Microsoft" employees are crooks.

Not in good taste

really poor taste
I want to be clear that I agree.
Considering it's a non-US company why does it even matter. I am 100% sure there are plenty of people in India who think we deserved it.
However, This ^^^^^ is my point.

No offense to @atikovi but this forum was very sensitive to other posts such as cv19 and even the recent bridge collapse in Maryland that i wouldn't let this trash see the light off day here. A personal opinion only.

I was at ground zero the next day, Didn't see any bodies. Didn't lose anyone close to me but the previous bombing of the WTC my close friend lost her father (he was in a break room close to the bomb). He actually saw I was on the way to being on the wrong road to adulthood and offered me to apply for a job working there. Luckily I didn't take him up on that. So occasionally I see things like that video and think of the victims. But my family has a sick sense of humor so I may see some humor in it. Years after my mom came across a shopping bag with the WTC and a plane flying towards it, It said welcome to Chicago on it so she gave it to me.

Thankfully I got back on the right path and became a firefighter, Having a sick sense of humor helped to deal with the gruesome stuff you see on the job. I retired after 25 years and still miss the job.

Could it be a parody of an ad, akin to the Fake VW ad National Lampoon published many years ago?

Either way, it's incredibly insensitive. If it's real, I would boycott the product.
