Ive seen many USB supplies not be able to output their rated amperage, over short, quality cables with recentky deOxited connections.
If i did not check with a USB meter id remIn clueless as to what supplies and cables perform substandard.
There are times when want my phone to recharge as fast as possible, which is just under 1.7 amps, but some cables and supplies can only go as high as 1.21 amps, or less.
Minimizing voltage drop with short quality cables is key for rapid recharge.
Whwn rapid is not a concern then neither is the cable or power supply.
Do try deoxit, my dad complained of slow pbone charging.
I measured 0.41 amps before Deoxit , and then 1.16 immediately after.
Using my 1 foot usb C cable yielded 1.78 amps.
