Caterham Blend
- 4.0 qt TGMO 0w-20 SN (58.7%)
- 2.5 qt M1 0w-40 SN (36.7%)
+ 10 oz MOS2 (4.6%)

No Makeup Oil

5,433 miles on the oil
99,599 miles on the engine

The table below is the Blackstone report including a UOA of straight M1 0w-40 SM I had done when the vehicle only had 25K on the engine. The previous fill was a Valvoline product which Blackstone indicated by be the source of the sodium. The oil filter used was a Fram Ultra cartridge, it looked perfect except for the used oil so I passed on taking a picture.

I replaced this fill with the same brew and used a Toyota TRD oil filter. Will run this fill out to 10K now that the extended warranty is over and report back.

Nice. I love to blend.

A 17% increase in iron plus the tin wear is skyrocketing. If you're going to keep running that I'd cut down to a 2500 mile OCI. It's obviously too thin, maybe go back to the 40 weight or even a 50 weight.

Kidding of course.

The average MPG over the prior 94K miles was 21.2. I will report back on the average MPG after a couple of runs on this mix, anything else would be statistical fraud. Kind of like someone changing their oil from 5w-30 to 5w-20 and reporting after one tank of gas they found a 5 MPG improvement in mileage.

I purchased a case of TGMO 0w-20, thus I have enough to run this mix out to about 120K (plus the run reported here).
