This is my fourth UOA on my 2002 Toyota Ipsum done by Dyson Analysis. Latest results on the right, oldest on the left. The spike in lead is most probably due to my IAC valve cleaning using a TB cleaner just before dumping out this oil. I suspect the TB cleaner also caused the oil to thicken. Im very happy with the fuel economy of this vehicle, it's getting its best ever fuel economy since I switched from Shell V-Power 98 to Caltex Vortex Platinum 98.

you have only 15973km on your car and you already cleaned TB? Why?
I have 2000 mazda 626 V6,the other day I was checking my air filter and I took a peek in my TB after 84K miles it is still very clean!

Fe and Pb highish for such short intervals...
Going from 10W50 to 0W30, are you trying to prove something?
Nice example how Toyota engines leach Cu and Si when new.

Well..It looks like it might need oil a tad thicker but the 30 wt is already a 40 wt. Probably bc some 50 wt was left over.

The 2AZ-FE has a problem has a known problem with an unstable idle in 'D' with AC on. Every 10~20secs, the idle speed will intermittently drop below 600rpm. A few squirts of TB cleaner into the IAC valve seems to have fixed the problem.

The mileage may be short, but the time duration is not. This vehicle does multiple short trips of less than 2km. About 80% city, 20% highway. Pb is high bcos of TB cleaner. I plan to eventually feed this machine with Fuchs 0w20, and I'm quite confident now thinner oils work well even in hot climates.

Thats a good one!!

What do you reckon is the reason for the silicon levels?

Guess my choice of oil after the next oil change, would be the SLX A3 on my Ipsum too....

Gaskets still leeching silicone, may take another ~2 oil changes before it's down to single digit. Fortunately, it's not abrasive dirt.
