I'm using Castrol Edge 5w30 and 6k OCI.Would Castrol Magnatec even though it is a blend stand up to the heat with a turbocharged engine? The engine is a 2.0l Ecoboost. Thanks Joe

Some blends stand up better, or at least as well. Nothing wrong with conventional oil. It has properties that syn's do not like better capillary fill (higher surface tension). It'll do fine

Todays oils aren't like the oils of the 1970's that the enlightened compare the syn oils to.

In Canada Ford recommends Motorcraft and it is conventional there.

The most detrimental issue with the Ecoboost lineup has been fuel dilution as in reference to lubrication not the water-cooled turbo.
