Castrol Hypuron Semi–Synthetic 15W-40

Does anyone have any input on Castrol's Hypuron Semi–Synthetic 15w40? I am riding a 2010 Victory Cross Country that calls for Semi-Syn 20W-40 which is very hard to find except (of course) for Vic's own oil which the dealer sells.

I would prefer to stick with a Semi-Syn and used to run Castrol Syntec 5W-40 in my V-Star 1100 with no issues.

The Castrol Hypuron Semi–Synthetic is readily available here (my Vic dealer is 2 hours away in another Province)and at a decent price.

From what I can see on Castrol's website Hypuron seems to fit the bill!

Rotella T6 carries the JASO MA certification.

Rotella T 15w40 has worked well for plenty of motorcycle folks.

I use the 15w40 conventional in a friend's scooter vs. the Honda-branded 10w-40. Works just fine.

are you really riding in the winter in canada?

yeah thats a push to get you to buy their jacked up price oil.

if you are gonna ride in the cold, why not SRT6 5w40 full synth?
or for warmer weather the T6 15w40 that jred mentions.

No the bike is tucked away for the winter months, will not get back out on the road now until, normally, the early May timeframe.

I am aware of the Shell Rotella products, the conventional 15w40 is available here but not the T6 or T5 as it stands right now.

I would like to stay with a Semi-Syn if possible, as mentioned the Castrol Hypuron is readly available but was not familiar with it so thought I would ask. Guess no one else is using it either.

Rotella T6 is readily available at Canadian Tire. Petro-Can Duron XL is a Semi Synthetic that's also a good choice.
