Shannow is using it at the moment I think. He said he has worse fuel economy with Formula R than with Mobil 1 0w40.
Same price as Mobil 1 5w50. I can't understand why (in my area at least) Mobil 1 10w30 and 0w40 are more expensive than the 5w50.

Hard to say which one is the better than the other Mobil 1 5w-50 is the factory fill for the MB SLR.But it didn't work very well in my car very noisy start up.

I just put this oil in my car, 95 BMW 740i. First feeling is that the engine run a bit noisier, but not really bad. Comparing to Mobil 1 5W50 or 15W50(which I usually use before), this oil really give a lot of power to my engine, feels like I gain 30 more horsepower. Engine is running very smooth especially at idling, better than Mobil 1. I haven't tried Mobil 1 0W40 so I am not sure if Castrol is better or 0W40 is better suit my engine. Will report back after more miles.

May be I shall try Mobil 1 0W40 next time to see the difference between Mobil 1 and Castrol RS, their prices are about the same anyway!
Just one thing, I'm still not too sure about European Castrol RS using group 3 oil or not. If they do, I will switch back to Mobil 1 forever.
Is this BMW 0w-40 LL?
I suspect it is, I also have a feeling that "BMW High Performance Synth" = Castrol TXT Softec 5w30.
