Has anyone heard anything about Castrol Extend? The information I saw said:
"Extend and Fight Sludge
Sludge build-up in your engine is one of the worst things that can happen to your car. It can clog oil passages and block essential lubrication of moving engine parts. The longer you drive between oil changes, the greater the danger of damaging sludge build-up.
Introducing New Castrol Extend, the first motor oil that allows you to safely drive 7,500 miles between oil changes and NOT worry about sludge robbing your car of power and acceleration.
Castrol Extend has two unique components:
Greater concentration of dispersants and detergents to keep the oil working in your engine for longer.
Plus Castrol Extend's unique Sludge Fighter technology fights sludge and prevents sludge build-up.
Drive farther and keep your engine running clean and smooth with new Castrol Extend - the Sludge Fighter."
So what do you think the Sludge Fighter component is? Great marketing I might add but should've come out a little sooner when Toyota was having the problems. It didn't say what specs it met or anything like that.
