Castrol date code help needed

Hey all,
I'm planning on making an oil/filter change this spring on my 2022 Can Am Spyder RT Sea To Sky. I have (4) quarts of Castrol Power 1 10w40 unopened/unsealed sitting in a box in my basement. My Amazon page said I last purchased Castrol 10w40 was back in 2017. I don't think this oil is that old?? Can someone assist with this date code? Thanks much

Is the date a deciding factor for you choosing to use the oil or not? Use it with confidence!

In any case, I want to know how October 24th came out of that. I can see the year and time with respect to those specific numbers.

I pondered if it truly was from 2017 I knew it was quite a bit newer than that.

Thanks for the info. So I'm guessing that this Castrol 10w50 I ordered in July 2023 has a date of Jan. 19, 2023? I'll use the (4) quarts of 10w50 this spring, and the (4) quarts of 10w40 next spring. No more stockpiling. I'll only ordered as needed
