Castrol 5W50

Just picked up a couple of jugs of this Castrol 5W50 Synthetic oil. Anyone on here ever use it before? I`m thinking of using it in dirt bike and old three wheeled Honda ATC. Anyone here use it before ? I`ve never heard of it till two days ago, but does or should cover one heck of a viscosity range.

My Chinese-built generator calls for 5w-50. Castrol Syntec is the only one I can think of in that grade off hand.

M1 used to come in 5w50, not sure if it still does?

Schaeffers also makes an excellent 5W-50. Unfortunately it only comes in 5 gal bucket as the smallest size. Wish they could see the market potential of offering in qts.

yes, Mobil 1 still comes in 5W-50, just not in the USA. I think they still sell it 'Down Under.'

that is correct 5W-50 is the cheapest and most wdiely available Mobil 1 product (in my eyes at least). Maybe $75 / 5L?

I've seen the Castrol 5w-50 but never really had a use for it.

Amalie also offers a full synthetic 5w-50.
