Castrol $30 rebate

Regarding the Castrol $30 rebate, just had 2 questions:

1) Has anyone gotten $60 back: $30 for 10 quarts on 1 receipt, and $30 more for 10 quarts on a 2nd receipt?

2) Is Walmart on the list of allowed stores for the in store purchase?

1. The rebate is for two 5 quart jugs to get $30 rebate. I suppose you could use multiple email addresses and physical addresses, etc to get additional rebates, YMMV

2. Yes Walmart in-store purchases are eligible.

Regarding #1, with 1 email and 2 receipts (each receipt for 10 quarts), can you get 2 rebates?

Just picked up two jugs last night. Didn’t realize I selected one High Mileage and one regular as I was trying to rush to get back to helping my kids pick out a gift for one another. 27.98 I believe, and I filled out the rebate form when I got home ( take a picture of your store receipt with price paid circled). Venmo deposit is fine with me, it really is easy to use. It’s helpful when my daughter sells her Girl Scout cookies as many people don’t carry cash anymore. New flavor is coming BTW…

Buy 10 Qts. of Castrol EDGE and get $30 rebate to your Paypal or Venmo account.
Thanks for alerting us to this deal. I bought two 5 quart jugs of the Castrol EDGE Full Synthetic 5W-30 20,000 mile oil at my local Walmart last night on my way home from work. The $27.48 per jug * 2 jugs = $54.96 - $30 eventual rebate = $24.96 / 2 jugs = $12.48 per jug.

Since my oil stash has grown to be quite big,
I no longer want to pay the astronomical amount (LOL) of $17.97 for a 5 quart jug of Super Tech High Mileage Full Synthetic 5W-30 oil.

I'm just going to buy any brand full synthetic 5W-30 for prices like $12.48 whenever these rebates / clearance sales become available in the future. The same with oil filters as well. Amazon seems to have Purolator Tech sales periodically for about $2 a filter.

In the very unlikely event I ever get sludge/varnish/stuck piston rings using Dexos 1 Gen 3 oils which set stricter limits for sludge/varnish deposits than API SQ, I would just need to use Valvoline Restore and Protect for four 5,000 mile oil changes to clean it up.

pricing probably is regional. my area Castrol EDGE is $23.97, EP = $29.97
Yes, thanks for that info. Would you be willing to share what part of the country has the Edge for $23.97.
I live in the north east US, and it's $27.48 at my local Walmart.

The $23.97 price is if you order it online from Walmart and is either a pickup at store or ship to home, in store is the $27.48 price.

Since the rebate is predicated on being a "in-store" purchase, some people to include me, have taken the $27.98 priced jugs to the services desk and had them price match the online $23.97 price. Some Walmart stores will not do it, so it is a YMMV situation on getting it for that price.

AFAIK, nobody has seen it on shelf at $23.97 price.

1. my rebate status shows the same as everyone else

2. as an aside---Castrol marketing, you did your job.

Used Castrol EDGE for the first time yesterday, (unscientific placebo effect) car feels and sounds equal to, or better than, the prior fill of Pennzoil Ultra Plat.

I'll seriously consider Castrol EDGE again----all depending on how its peers are priced.

Probably a dumb question, but how are y’all checking rebate status? I got my confirmation email right away, but I don’t see how to check the status 🤷‍♂️ Thanks!

Uh, 30¢?

Peter: "Oh! Well, this is not a mundane detail, Michael!"

Michael: "Hey, quit getting pissed at me. Alright? This was all your idea, ---hole!"

Peter: "Alright, okay, alright, let's try not to get pissed off at each other. Alright? Let's just calm down, let's try to figure this thing out together."
