Castrol 2 Stroke?

Redhorse, no flame intended, but I would use the Pennzoil air cooled 2 cycle mix only in an emergency, if no other 2 cycle mix was available.

This is an older style formulation, API-TC is a mid 1990's spec, look for a 2 cycle mix that meets the current JASO-FC, ISO-EGD specs for low smoke & low deposit performance.

I use castrol TT-S in our companies Motor Glider. It has a Solo 52 HP watercooled engine. The TTS works very well in the watercooled application.

Keep in mind that the glider engine works very hard, as it is always full throttle.

Yes, Castrol does make a 2 cycle oil for mowers, etc. I have bought it in a quart container for years from Pep Boys. I have never had a problem with it. I am not a fan of Castrol to be honest, but this stuff seems to be fine. I used Sears synthetic 2 cycle oil, mixes the same 40:1 ratio in my leaf blowers, one died and lost compression, the one one would overheat. I thought it was trashed, but I tried Castrol in there and it is back to life. No damage done. Sears synthetic 2 cycle oil is GARBAGE in my book. It comes in a gold bottle.
