+1. I'd like to see a winter run.

OK… here is why I questioned the ATM.

4939 miles - - TBN 3.4

6524 miles - - TBN 1.9

For an oil advertised as 25K / 12mo. and starting with a TBN of 12.2 it does not look like it could go that distance nor the recommended 15K mile advertised for sever service. Yes, the wear numbers look good.

None of the TBN's look stellar over the time/mile frame of usage an each appears to have their assets and liabilities It's obvious that there's no micro-etching going on with the ATM due to the lower TBN. TAN and oxi/nit would have been a nice reading to have across the board. That DOES show up on all forms of UOA.

notice the Moly went way down but Iron Magnesium and Lead went way up? a relationship here? was the higher Moly in ATM and M1 part of the oil or was it from extra added additives?

what oil was used in between the last two UOA's? what oil do you have now?

i would perhaps go back to ATM or M1 oil, run ~7500mi, do UOA. if the wear #'s stay like the last UOA then perhaps the #'s indicate something is going on with the engine. if the wear #'s drop back down then perhaps the motor doesnt like that Castrol oil, or the oil just isnt right, etc.

I don't think GC has any molly in it. Been runing GC since the first time it was sampled.

5 or 6k I'll dump this GC then run something different. no UOA, will be done on this run of GC.

no additives added.

Yes 1GR-FE engine. Lots of chain in the engine. It is me or the engine take your pick.

always run super, it cost .01 less per mile (or it did before the 10% methanol) to run.
Shell, goodfield, Shetz is about 90% of my gas purchases. can't recall the last time i used a bottle cleaner.

i am sure the GC 0/30 is more $$ than say a Valvoline SynPower 5/30.

why are you using a 0/30? why did you use a 10/30?

switch to SynPower 5/30, save your $$, and this oil is "great".

i have a 1GR-FE in a 05 quad cab extended bed prerunner. getting close to 70k miles on it. been running PP 5w30 and this last is PP 5w20. i've used both the pureone filter or the st3600 filter. maybe i should uoa it.

bought the 5qt just of PU 5w20 for the next oci.

I may just be hard on the truck, While the NE is no rocky Mt high, it is not flat.

this seems to be a is a perfect example of the rule of thumb that says that the grade of the oil used can not change from the grade of oil that was always used.

going back to 10W-30 will solve the iron problem.
