out/off: 6.5 quarts Valvoline EP HM 5w-30 and 1.5 quarts HPL EC30 with Carquest premium 84502

in/on: 8 quarts Valvoline R&P with Carquest Premium 84502.

looks very clean, again new drum of HPL PCEO shows up Monday so it will have one more oci of just Valvoline R&P.

Lately I have been choosing the CarQuest Premium Filter that I’ve been getting with my oil & filter bundles at Advance Auto Parts instead of choosing the FRAM Force that is also offered with my bundle. I haven’t used the CQP yet but they’ll be going on for the next OCI.

Why do oil filter photographers (like this one) never include the middle cage, that shows if the filter's inner-center is designed as louver or round hole?

So many of our members here have preferences for one or the other. I personally always deem round hole oil filter cages as essential at time of purchase.

Regarding these CQ Premium since the switch to Premium Guard or any other Premium Guard upper tier filters they always come with holes afaik... but yeah to your point it is very simple to just snap a photo of the inner core.
