I think your attitude is spot on. Be positive, act positive and things will happen. My wife has a MIS degree, worked as a programmer for 10 years with Hertz, they sold out, all programming jobs went to India....she re-focused and just finished her R.N. and passed the NCLEX exam about 6 months ago and now is working in dialysis. Her main compliant, the techs are lazy and have a bad attitude. Don't become one of them because word travels around fast in the medical circles I have learned by listening to her and what all happens with so and so.....

That happens everywhere, and many times I've found is, those people get ahead through politics. If you aren't that type of person, plug your nose, stay positive, stay above the political BEE ESS, keep your mouth shut, and do the best job you can.

Anyone else have experiences like mine? It's very frustrating to not be able to work in my field yet. I certainly will actively keep looking. Funny thing is though, it took my wife 9 months to find her first job and she's a nurse! Only been 3 months for me so far, but it's not a good feeling, plus I want to keep my skills sharp.

My friend is a radiation therapist and she managed to secure a job two weeks after she graduated, and then she moved to Minnesota where she got paid more for it. I'm thinking the availability is in the Midwest moreso, but I could be wrong.

doitmyself, I use indeed as well, it's a great resource. I've applied for some of those jobs but many of them are specialty jobs, experience required, or in Tucson. I still apply for those that say experience required.
Drew, I will definitely keep working. Actually just started my delivery driver job today. Not a lot of money or glamerous, but better than a weekly salary of $0!

The idiot burned through his lifesavings, lost his car all due because his ego and pride prevented him from working a wage slave job.
Having a big gap on his resume made it more difficult to find another paralegal job.
I know a few people who have done that.
They had interviews ... guess why they didn't get the jobs in their fields? Too long of an employment gap.
Sometimes you need to swallow your pride and do what you need to do.
