Car Wash In Freezing Weather

I use hot water in the wash bucket, then just suffer through the cold chamois job when done. I wait for days that are warmer and sunny and those come by every so often in my part of the country.

One tip is to use silicone spray on all the door seals. It will help keep them from freezing and will help keep them pliable over their life.

Why would your neighbors care when you wash your car in cold weather?

I can see how some might get upset since then there is water flowing down the driveway that will end up freezing later on. So if you live in a townhouse or semi detached house where you share a driveway with someone else, they could end up getting a layer of ice near their car.

They don't understand washing your car at all much less in cold weather. I have no idea why it bothers people so much,or why they think it's any of their business. I just bite my tongue, and go on about my business.
