Car seat cleaning

What is a good way and what product is superior to clean car seats? At the moment I use turtle wax. I noticed it lefted dark streaks in the material aftering drying. I did a test spot but that didn't fade, stain, etc. Thanks

Spritz on(not soak)Simple Green and wipe back and forth with a clean water damp towel,repeat if necessary and follow with clean dry towel.
Works on car carpets too depending on what kind of stain or dirt is on both..

you can dilute Tide with water to make a spray so u can save the money on those turtle wax stuff, they don't work as well as advertised and Tide do a good job

after u sprayed some on the seat then u can steam it so it will be nice and clean

Woolite & water. 15 parts water to 1 part Woolite.

TUFF STUFF works great on cloth seats as well as plastic/vinyl/leather trim and carpets. You can also use a mini steam cleaner if it's real bad.

I just bought some Resolve Spot cleaner (in a spray can). Awesome stuff. All you do is spray a shot and blot with a clean cloth. It removed stuff I didn't even know was there and was safe for my son's car seat as well as the vehicle seats. It's about $4 a can from Walmart.

RTexasF mentioned my favorite carpet/fabric cleaner, although I mix 6 parts water to 1 part woolite. Tough enough to clean most grime, yet gentle enough to not cause damage or even need rinsed. For large areas, simply spray, scrub lightly with a soft scrub brush, and vacuum up with a steam cleaner or shop vac. Small areas can be done by spraying and blotting/light rubbing with a rag. Works extremely well on vinyl and leather, too.
For extremely tough spots, I use Tuff Stuff, followed by Woolite/Water.

Since it is getting colder (no garage) I'll have to wait til it warms up abit. I'll try the woolite treatment. I hope it will lighten up the darken fabric stain. Thanks.
