I was with Jake for a number of years, and my 6-month premium kept going up for just the coverage I had. No accidents and no tickets, basically Liability and the State Minimal on everything else. So, overtime we went from $257 every 6 months on up to eventually $345.00. I eventually contacted another insurance company, and they gave me a 1-year policy for $437.00; the catch was if you paid in full you got a $90.00 discount.

My new insurance rate is still the same for a 1-year policy with my current insurance company. Before I left Jake I was warned if I ever came back to Jake that my insurance would be higher, Jake gave me every excuse to why my insurance was going up. I called Jake today to find out what a 6-month policy would cost, the price was $256.00

I did get the run around from the girl on the phone how we went from $345.00 every 6 months to $256.00 every 6 months. She said you are a valued former policy holder, yet I was told by Jake if I left and came back the cost would be higher.

$512.00 for Jake versus $437.00

The other Insurance Company is AIC!
Hopefully Jake is not reading stuff on this Forum!

If you’re a good long-term customer of an insurance company chances are you’re paying too much for your insurance.

If they think you won’t leave, you will pay more.
Best bet, shop around for insurance every year with at least three other companies.
Anytime you find a better price sign up and then contact your old car insurance company to cancel

Premiums are going up everywhere. Don't get used to AIC's low introduction rate. It lured you in and will go up soon.

It seems many companies do this, talk tough while you are a customer then once you leave they offer a much better deal. Had something similar happened twice with my cell provider after I left they kept calling offering a much better deal. also insurance companies are notorious for charging existing customers more over time. Guess they think they have a captive audience.

Jake is a snake. Avoid him like the plague.
I left that company before Jake was even born.
One of the best moves I ever made.
Find a good independent agent or agents that have a wide array of companies and get quotes.
There are a good number of regional companies that don't spend millions a year on advertising that offer great value, and don't have a Jake, Emu, a Gecko, or a Flo.
Find out who they are in your area and give them the patronage.

You have to go shopping every year for insurance. That is the game that some say above.
I dealt with Independent Insurance Agent here and they rep a lot of company.
So, every year, around 3 months before the policy is renewed, I call them to go shopping for me.

Switched back to State Farm last week and saved on the house and autos about $2,000 with better coverage than Farmers or one of their subsidiaries could provide.

Costco’s American Family auto was the best rate by far of the 4 or 5 I looked at but they won’t do houses with dwelling coverage over $1.25M or 1.5M so it didn’t make sense to go with them since the bundling discount is usually a few thousand. Very few options for homeowners once you are over $1.25M.

Oh how I miss those days. I pay $650/month for 4 cars and two young male drivers on with my wife and I.

Oddly Progressive has kept my business with steady rates for a few years. The moment they raise my rate though, they will be fired ruthlessly.
For some reason which I don’t know why the automobiles on our progressive policy price can’t be beat.
First time ever and I know that because I always checked them as they were always a major company. I suspect maybe my insurance score shows this. Being insured with multiple multiple multiple different companies over the years on all my stuff not just my cars.
Also, that would be known I never bundle.

As far as our boat and motorcycle progressive was always cheapest most times, but never on our vehicles or our homes

Everyone's MMV. Jake has been fine. Actually represented me well when the other bozo's company ghosted. He's the only company that would give me reasonable quote when I bought the Mustang 23 years ago. I'll "save" my money other places.
