A few months ago, I purchased a Flex 3401XRG and some supplies. This past weekend, I finally had time to use it.
The car below is my friend's car. It's a true beater. The car has not been washed in three years. I was not aiming for perfection with this "detail," but rather, how much better I could get the car to look in two hours. Plus, I wanted to practice using the Flex.
Wash: New Formula ONR w/MF towels.
Clay: Chemical Guys Grey Clay w/ONR QD as lube.
Polish: Meguiar's D151 AIO w/LC Hydro-Tech Tangerine Pad
Seal: Duragloss #105
Not bad for two hours of work. I wasn't able to polish the bumpers as the Flex's pads were too large. I may end up having to sell the Flex and replace it with a G110v2 or something that can accommodate smaller pads. Thoughts?
