Too many people brought in batteries at 35 months to get a fresh one. We all pay the price for their taking advantage of the system.

This is what I did last summer in SoFlo @newninja. I proactively replaced a 5 year old Canadian Kirkland which saw sporadic use in our '08 CRV.
Walmart. Check out the deals from time to time. You're buying the Warranty not the Battery.
Walmart sometimes has an online only roolback price deal. If they have it for what you require, you have to buy it online. You can pick it up at your local store, or have it shipped to you.
Depends of the specific dealer as some like mine show prices lower than without a dealer selected but with no dealer selected it shows a 24f at $202 and a 35 at $167 with an 84 month pro rated warranty, The 60 month 24 is $149 and the 35 is $131. The full warranty is 24 months but not like it matters these tend to outlive most autoparts store batteries.

Walmart. Hands down. You buy a 2 year or a 3 year ( keep the receipt). Bring it back to customer service 6 months before warranty expires. They don't even check it. They throw it on a pallet, hand you a receipt, tell you to go pick out a new one. You get a brand new battery before the old one fails. How are you gonna beat that ? You'll get 6 years from a 3 year battery ( it will just be 2 separate batteries) Save you're starter and alternator with a fresh battery every 3 years. Unfortunately, once the original 3 year battery warranty expires, it doesn't transfer to the new one. But, 6 years is the average lifespan of 1 battery. You're getting 2 batteries to abuse.

GM's AC Delco batteries have a very good rep as well, catch a good sale and you can get them with installation for the same or less money than whatever DitY parts store.
I've had a few over the years and they seem to have a pretty long lifespan.
This truly is the way to go. AGMs are $100 less than any of the big box car stores.

Yeah, I don't return them unless they're bad either, but one nice thing about WM batteries .... WM's are EVERYWHERE! So if one dies at an inopportune time, Wally World is usually not too far away!
My Old Man has used this approach for his trolling motor batteries for years. They usually out live the warranty, but if they don't and you happen to be on a fishing trip when they fail, you can usually find one nearby and not lose the whole day of fishing trying to chase the warranty at a particular store.

Yes, my 06' Camry takes a 24 F. Walmart has them in 2year or 3 year warranty. Top or side terminal. If you don't want to cheat, ( like me ), and bring it back right before the warranty expires to get a new one for free, that's you're decision. They don't test them, pro-rate them, charge them, nothing. Just take it to customer service, they scan it, throw it on a pallet, and tell you to get a new one. Peace of mind in my book. Walmart can afford it.

Costco battery warranty in the USA is three years prorated...one of the absolute worst.
Walmart has three year free replacement on most flooded and four year free replacement on AGMs.
I have purchased my last four AGMs there...all are working great. Saved the receipts, the four year warranty is reassuring.
In the western USA, WalMart sells the same Clarios batteries that Costco sells. I believe out east Walmart sells East Penn batteries.

Why am I testing battery ???? I just swapped out a 3 year with 6 months left. Nothing wrong with it. They just tossed it on the pile and gave me a new one. No questions asked. You know something the rest of us don't. Maybe I just got lucky with an idiot CR that day ??? Do tell if you don't mind.
your Walmart probably doesn't have an auto center, that's why they do that.
otherwise, I know Walmart definitely tests them.
since we posted at the same time have you actually checked what the new costco warranty is.. it is full prorate. no replacement
IMO worst warranty out there.
Ever start Max at Walmart is $140 with a full 3 year warranty. Depending on location you will get a JCI or East Penn. There are Walmarts everywhere for warranty.
AGM for a few bucks more.
